Mindfulness worshop
Saturday, January 3110:00—11:30 AM2nd floor Hull Public Library9 Main St, Hull, MA, 02045

Join Sean Baggett, a resident of Hull Village, a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and a former U.S. Naval Officer. A lifelong reader and student of history, Sean sees the importance of connecting the past with the present—especially through his community talks and local tours. He is also a longtime mindfulness practitioner and instructor, integrating teachings from Eastern philosophy to help others cultivate awareness, compassion, and clarity.
In this 6 week workshop, we will explore what mindfulness is (and isn't) and why it's especially relevant in today’s world. Practice easy-to-learn techniques such as mindful breathing, grounding exercises, and body scans to help you feel more centered and present.
Dive into the art of being with your thoughts and feelings without judgment—to help you manage stress and gain better control of your emotional well-being, and live a life of your choosing and not reactivity.
Mindfulness isn't about emptying your mind or being "perfectly zen" all the time. It's about learning to pay attention to the present moment with awareness, and meeting yourself with kindness—even on tough days.
Sean is a mindfulness practitioner and a student of Buddhist philosophy. He has taught similar courses at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility, The Anchor in Hull, and the Hull Lifesaving Museum. Sean's classes are fun, easy-going, informal, and welcoming.
Registration for this event opens Sunday, December 28 at 9:00 AM.
